We stand before You, Holy Spirit, as we gather together in Your name.
With You alone to guide us, make Yourself at home in our hearts; Teach us the way we must go and how we are to pursue it.
We are weak and sinful; do not let us promote disorder. Do not let ignorance lead us down the wrong path nor partiality influence our actions.
Let us find in You our unity so that we may journey together to eternal life and not stray from the way of truth and what is right.
All this we ask of You, who are at work in every place and time, in the communion of the Father and the Son, forever and ever.

19th November 2021
On the 19th of November we found out more about Sikhism.  We learnt about Guru Nanak Sihab and his birthday and helped to mark his special day for Sikhs with some delicious cake donated by Mrs Padam.  We wish our Sikh brother and sisters a special day and thank you for teaching us more about your religion.
Armistice Day 2021
To mark Remembrance Day, the whole school had the opportunity to reflect and acknowledge the sacrifice of our veterans.
Lots of beautiful Remembrance displays have appeared around the school and the Year 6 children have been selling poppies during playtime to the rest of the school raising money for the Royal British Legion.
The school respected the 2 minutes silence on the 11th of November at 11 O'clock and then enjoyed a very talented year 6 pupil playing the 'Last Post' in our school prayer garden on his cornet.
Year 2 have been to our local memorial in Twydall to pay their respects and also led a Friday assembly, telling everyone what the poppy means to us.

Harvest Festival
On the 20th of October 2021, Year 2 and Year 6 worked together to help raise awareness about Homelessness.  They have been busy around the school asking for donations of non-perishable foods and wrote and presented a brilliant Harvest Festival collective worship for the whole school to find out about these issues.
All the food was donated to 'Caring Hands'.  This charity is based in Rochester, whose motto is 'A hand up, not just a hand out'.  They do lots of remarkable work, but since the pandemic they really have needed our support.
Well done everyone for your kind donations.  Thank you!
St Joseph
This year Pope Francis has asked us to contemplate and pray with St Joseph the Worker.
The whole school have found out about this remarkable saint and this term Year 4 have shared a beautiful collective worship about St Joseph. Collective worship about St. Joseph.
CAFOD Live Simply Award
We are delighted to have been awarded the CAFOD Live Simply award.

We are very proud of all of the children and staff at our school, who have been working on the Livesimply Cafod award. We are the first school in Southwark to receive this accolade and have been deemed a "beacon" school for all of our initiatives. We received this special award on the day the Vatican launched its Laudato Si' Action Plan, which included a call for Catholic schools globally to give significant attention to social justice and care of God's creation. Well done everyone and keep up the good work!

 The Rosary

On the 18th October our school supported the call for prayer from Pope Francis, by saying the Rosary and thinking of those in need across the world.

The whole school prayed the Rosary and our GIFT Team (Growing in Faith Together) met in our school prayer garden to mark this special day as well. Here is a useful website you can look at, if you would like to learn more about the Rosary.
